About Us

Berkley & Majette Reentry Housing & Services was founded in 2024 with a mission to support justice-impacted individuals as they transition back into society. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are committed to reducing recidivism by providing essential resources such as reentry housing, food, clothing, mental health and social reintegration counseling, and workforce readiness training.

Our services focus on empowering individuals with the tools and support necessary for a successful reintegration into the greater Hampton Roads/Tidewater Regional area, with plans for future expansion throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. We aim to foster stability, independence, and economic opportunity for those reentering their communities.

Mission Statement

Our mission is helping justice impacted individuals truly experience RELEASE -
acknowledge and begin to release whatever pain, trauma, bad decision making or fears
that may be keeping you from becoming the best version of you.

Having a safe place to reset, share and have new self-value affirming experiences will
lead to better outcomes, stronger family/community bonds and ultimately provide
returning citizens/justice impacted individuals with the tools and training they need to
become productive and vital assets to the communities they are returning to.
